TECHPLACE is a new online information resource provided by the Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC) and AAPG Datapages. This cooperative effort captures and delivers technology insights from PTTC’s historical activities that the oil and gas producer can use to make important technology decisions that will positively affect the company’s bottom line. TECHPLACE allows users to access workshop summaries and workshop notebooks, browse past issues of the PTTC Network News, plus see upcoming PTTC and other events of interest.
For nearly 20 years, PTTC has been a forum for transfer of technology and best-practices within the oil and gas community. Traditionally, larger companies have had the technical professionals to bring the latest technology to the production line. Many smaller producers have lagged in development of new science and engineering.
The Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC) is a national not-for-profit organization led by an independent Board of Directors and managed by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Local Producer Advisory Groups ensure that PTTC activities in a particular region address the technology needs of producers in that area.
PTTC is a partnership to connect independents with the technology and knowledge to safely and responsibly develop the nation’s oil and gas resources. As such, it is an important part of America’s energy solution.
